Kevin Lehman is native to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where his love for clay began.  In elementary school Kevin had his first experience using a potter's wheel.  This experience drove him to pursue ceramics in his education and life.  While attending Garden Spot High School, he built a potter's wheel with his father and purchased an electric kiln, which he used for many years.  In May of 2000, he graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor's degree in Art.  Eager to apply his skills after school, he started his pottery business in a small backyard shed with his home-built throwing wheel and a salvaged gas kiln.  Fortunately, Kevin was able to relocate to his current studio, a 13,000 square foot warehouse, at 560 South Prince Street in Lancaster, PA (site of the former Posey Iron Works)The present facility allows ample room for artists to teach classes and engaging in projects, large and small.
Kevin began his career as a functional potter. Then focused considerable attention to large works in clay: colossal jars, tile fireplaces, grand wall decor and large exterior sculptures.  As new ideas arise, Kevin and his work continues evolve. He is currently working with multiple materials (glass, metal, wood, concrete, etc) and collaborating with fellow artists to create works of art.  What's next?
